While doing our best imitations of "Goat Boy" on SNL, choreographing dances to Sisqo's "Thong Song" or passing notes in 6th grade English, I never dreamed I'd be photographing Amanda's wedding. Amanda was a great friend to me throughout my days at St. Al's. She was the first to call me "Dany" (and also to give the nickname a unique spelling), the one to call the coach during one basketball practice when my lung began to collapse, and the one who stole one of Mr. Mercer's tiny pencils from Math Van (a huge, huge crime in his eyes). As the years went by, we drifted apart (as friends so often do). But I was always greeted with a smile by Amanda and her family and the Pinkerton's held a special place in my heart. Needless to say, I was enthralled, super excited, and honored to be the photographer for her wedding.
Amanda & Joe give you the feeling they've been happily married for years and years. Their love is the kind you want yours to be like in years to come. The couple has a wisdom about them and a confidence that they'll get through anything; together. Their beautiful son Caleb is lucky to have these two awesome people for his parents. This post is filled with more photos than most, but this family has been so wonderful to me, I just had to share a bit more :)
Many many thanks and hugs to my assistant Anna for snaggin' some gorgeous shots, as always. And to Mary Kate Wallin who I dedicate this entire post (no, this entire blog) to.
